Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
Advance purchase is required and tours may sell out quickly. To maximize the likelihood of securing the day and time you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can be purchased with Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.
Are children allowed on flights and tours?
Yes. Children are welcome. Anyone two years of age and younger can be a lap rider; a ticket is not required. A ticket is required for anyone three years of age or older.
Is there a weight limit on the flight?
Yes. For safety reasons we do have a weight limit. We can accommodate a combined passenger weight of 1,200 pounds. If you your group exceeds the weight limit, please contact us directly by clicking on the “Contact Utah Airways” link on the left hand side of this page.
How many people can fit in the plane?
Our plane can seat a total of five passengers.
Will other people besides my party be on the tour?
If there are less than five people in your party, there will be additional people on your tour. If you would like your tour to include your party only, please click on the “Contact Utah Airways” link on the left hand side of this page.
How long does the flight last?
Most of our flight and tour experiences last approximately six to seven hours. More precise flight and tour times can be viewed on the individual tour pages.
What if it rains?
Safety is our topmost priority. In the event of inclement weather, we will reschedule your tour making every attempt to do so at your convenience.
Can I receive a refund if I want to cancel my flight?
Tickets are non-refundable but can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours of notice. There is an option to purchase a refund guarantee at the time of booking. This guarantee allows you to cancel your trip at any time with the peace of mind that you will receive a full refund, excluding the refund guarantee purchase price.
How can I make this a surprise for my spouse, partner, or friend?
Your secret is safe with us. When you book your trip, just let us know that it is a surprise and we’ll be sure not to give your secret away.
Is it safe?
Risk accompanies any adventure, but rest assured that your safety is our number one priority. We are authorized by the FAA to pilot your trip and we will do so with care.
What type of plane will we be flying on?
Our fleet consists of the PA-31 Piper Navajo aircraft. The Piper Navajo has served as a commuter aircraft for years and is one of the best aircraft engineered by Piper.
Where do we go? What exactly do we see on the tour?
Each of our adventures begin in the Salt Lake Valley at the Ogden Hinckley Airport. Each of our destinations will prove to be unforgettable as you experience your destination first from the air and then from the ground. What do we do when we land?

Will the tour be narrated?
The flight will be narrated and your pilot will point out sites of interest along the way. We also offer iPads with headphones with flight narration capabilities. Upon arrival, your tour guide will lead you through your destination.
Are we required to wear headphones?
You are not required to wear headphones. However, we recommend you do so in order to fully enjoy the experience and to hear your pilot direct your attention to landmarks you’ll not want to miss. Additionally, headphones aid in noise reduction from the engine. If you and your special someone prefer to cuddle up with each other quietly, that’s fine too. No headset required.
How high do we fly?
This depends on the weather and winds on your travel date, but we always fly low enough for you to capture the magnificent scenery.
Can I take pictures and video?
Absolutely! Please share them with us after your flight.
What are the photo and video packages?
When purchasing your tickets for the flight, you will have the option to select a photo, video, or combination photo and video package to document your adventure. The photographer will accompany you on the flight and during all of the optional activities you select in order to capture every fun filled moment. These packages are available for an additional fee. Select and add your desired options during purchase of your tickets.
What should I wear?
You should wear comfortable outdoor adventure clothing and flat soled shoes. A light sweater may be desired in case of cooler weather.
Are there restrooms on the plane?
No. There aren’t any restrooms on the plane. Restrooms will be available upon arrival at your destination.
Is there a place to store my belongings?
Participants are welcome to bring a purse or small bag with them on the aircraft. You can leave any bags you bring in the back of the aircraft in our luggage compartments.
Can we bring food and drinks?
Water and snacks are provided during your flight. You can bring food and drinks, but we do not recommend doing so. Outside food and drink will not be allowed on the plane and may not travel well due to heat in our luggage compartments. Food and drink will be available for purchase upon arrival at your destination.
Can I bring alcoholic beverages?
Personal alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the aircraft.
Are we required to wear seat belts?
Yes. All passengers are required to wear a seat belt for the duration of the flight.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver. Anyone under the age of 18 must have an adult sign on their behalf.
Do I have to climb over the wing to get in the airplane?
No. You will walk up to the plane and step in from the ground, just like getting into your car.
Are the planes wheelchair accessible?
No. Our planes are not wheelchair accessible.
Is this tour suitable for pregnant women? What if I’m prone to motion sickness?
We do not recommend pregnant women or those prone to motion sickness participate in a flying tour.

Is free parking available?
Yes. Free parking is available near the departure point. You will receive more information upon purchase.
Do you have a license to do this?
Yes. We are authorized by the FAA to fly these types of flights. In obtaining and holding that authorization, we subject our aircraft to inspection by the FAA and ourselves to random DOT and FAA drug and alcohol tests.
Can I fly the plane?
No. You are not allowed to fly the plane at any point during the tour and no passenger is allowed inside the cockpit.
Is gratuity included in the price?
No. Tips for the crew are not included in the price. Although not required, gratuity is always appreciated.
Are gift certificates available?
